“Weight of the Nation” in May 2012 

A new documentary, “Weight of the Nation”,  premiered May 14 & 15,2012, exclusively on HBO.  This multi-part series is comprised of 4 documentary films, a 3-part HBO family series, 14 bonus shorts, a social media campaign, a book and a nationwide community-based outreach campaign.

The film titles include “Consequences”, “Choices”, “Children in Crisis” and “Challenges”.  Also a 3-part HBO family series was shown on May 16.HBO Family’s “the Weight of the Nation for Kids”, a series of 3 half-hour films, looks at children who have taken action to prevent obesity in their own lives and communities.

This HBO documentary is a major activity of CDC to raise awareness and engage stakeholders in battling the obesity epidemic.
