Corporate Membership Plan
There are many benefits with the YMCA Corporate Membership Plan. We encourage businesses to implement a Wellness Program with their employees. The Washington Community Y and the Wellman Parkside Activities Center would enjoy helping you keep your employees healthy and productive. Contact the Membership Staff at the WCY for more details.
WHO WE ARE
The Washington Community Y strives to put the following core values into practice in everything we do:
• Caring: To be sensitive to the needs of others and go the extra mile
• Honesty: To tell the truth, have integrity and build trust
• Respect: To value the worth of every person and treat others as you would like to be treated
• Responsibility: To do what is right and be accountable for your behavior and your obligations.

Youth/Social Memberships
YOUTH/Social Memberships are for adults who would like to participate in a social program or group that uses non physical facilities of the Y.
Youth memberships are available for youth 6 months to 12 years to participate in Y programs for a membership price. Youth program members may also use the recreation (game) room which includes pool tables, air hockey, Wii, Dance Revolution and foosball.
Wellness Center
Also referred to as the Weight Room the Wellness Center has undergone a major transformation. The “Y” is proud to offer our members STRIVE resistance training equipment. STRIVE is the most effective and efficient resistance training technology on the market. STRIVE is for all members regardless of their fitness level. Members will be able to get a full body work out in less than 30 minutes on equipment that is very user friendly. Now the Washington Community YMCA/YWCA members will utilize the same equipment used to train Super Bowl 40 Champs Pittsburgh Steelers, United States Military Special Operation Groups, and actors like Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby).

Y Cares Financial Aid
Many members come to the Y to swim. Many others come to play basketball or use the wellness center. Children participate in our youth sports programs or attend our full day child care. Youth attend camps, dances and sometimes just hang out with friends in our rec. room and gymnasium.
But what makes this a Y? What makes it a charitable nonprofit organization? What does it mean when we say financial aid is available to ensure that no family is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay?
The Y is committed to “Never Say No” to a family or individual in need. Financial assistance is available due to the generosity of our supporters and is awarded without regard to age, race, religion, gender, or national origin. Awards are given for memberships, camp and programs. As long as funds are available the Y will turn no one away due to an inability to pay. All we ask is for individuals in need of financial assistance to provide us with their most recent W-2 and two consecutive paycheck receipts or proof of income (interest on accounts, SSI or other aid.) Rates subject to change. Memberships lapsed more than 30 days subject to new member Building and Maintenance Fee.
Single Family Memberships are available at a 20% savings from the Family equivalent. The Washington Community Y reserves the right to deny or revoke membership privileges, with out refund, from any person exhibiting inappropriate behavior or abuse of the staff, members or facilities. Monthly bank draft available. Ask membership desk for details.
Memberships are nonrefundable, non-transferable.

MEMBERSHIP FEES NOTICE:
On January 1st we anticipate a rate increase for all Y memberships. At this time we do not know what percentage of an increase will be enacted. A notification letter will be sent out a month in advance of any annual price increases.
If you are on bank draft, or making quarterly or semi annual payments your billing will reflect this increase on their due dates in 2010. The computer system also will pick up rate changes when your age moves you into a different membership type.
Annual members will notice it at the time of their yearly renewal. These increases are enacted automatically with our Daxco computer system that was installed in September of '08.
If you have any questions give us a call at the Y. We will be glad to visit with you and answer any questions you may have.
